I should clarify... Holroyd is not actually IN the Gulf of Carpentaria... it's ON Cape York... BESIDE the Gulf of Carpentaria. Locals refer to the Cape as "up in the gulf" which technically isn't correct as that would mean it's underwater... sheesh... now that's clear as mangrove mud... maybe check out Google Maps? Or check out the cartoon above... it's roughly somewhere just north of the palm tree! (although it's strictly local politics and probably won't mean much to a global audience) but who knows... there might just be other politicians out there equally deserving of a poke in the ribs that people can relate to. I just LOVE this planet and the people on it! Especially the good friends I have made here over the past two and a half years I have been writing this Blog... and over the 6 years before that over at the Artcafe. The internet has enabled all that. It has been the conduit for friendship between kindred art spirits the world over. What an incredible gift that is. Sorry guys... just had to get that out so you know how much I appreciate you all. And it can't be said enough :-) Gosh… I just LOVE this planet and the people on it!
