Thanks for the report, Jean. The main thing is to know that you're well and proceeding normally.

Hi John... thanks for that. Yes... all okay here in the far north. No red clouds to speak of but plenty of grey ash like stuff... fine as fine can be... clogging the atmosphere and making it a bit hard to see [and breathe]. Fascinating phenomena eh? The pictures from space are awesome. Who'd have thunk it? (((chuckles)))

Hiya, Jean, I'm thinking of you with all that "red sky" we're hearing about. Is it affecting you at all? I'm guessing it has to be scary, dangerous, and (this is the artist in me speaking) gorgeous.

Thanks John. I sang that song on stage once back in another life LOL It's a great song to sing. So very up there.

Yes... I guess watercolour is a bit like bungy jumping... especially the gutsy leaping off bit. I aspire to one day paint coconut palms [and the general atmosphere of the tropics] half as well as Winslow Homer's "Palm Tree in Nassau". Who knows... I may live long enough.

She's great, Jean, well worth the wait (for me) and extra effort (for you). Your wise words about watercolor are right on, but it occurs to me that you provided your own metaphor for the w/c artist, we're always leaping off the "platform." Also love the palm trees. I have somewhere a very quick watercolor of a palm tree with a white daytime moon and a jet contrail high above, done, as the song goes, "on the street where I live."
