Remembering today my friend John Crowther and his family who have endured the unendurable in their loss of Welles… their beautiful courageous son and nephew. This film touched my heart and brought me in touch with the full impact of this tragedy. It showed me the power of courage and resilience… kindness and humanity… and left me in no doubt where these human qualities… the qualities that allowed Welles to give up his life to save so many… has come from. Because of this film Welles will live on in the hearts of everyone who sees it.
My heart goes out to the Crowther family at this time of remembering.

Jean,
What a deeply moving video you have shared. I have tears in my eyes, as I let the beautiful soul of Welles settle into my heart.
My thoughts are with the whole Crowther family, at the loss they suffered – so that others might have life.
With love,
Lance
Hi Lance
I felt the same when I saw it. This film really touched my heart [and as I said] connected me in such a human way with an event that happened over half a world away. It made me realise how the world is not such a very big place afterall… and we are not very different any of us. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Lance

significant in this lads life . pre ordained ???
Firefighters everywhere are usually unsung heroes .
Despite all the media coverage there will always be those for whom the suffering never ends. It’s an important film I think.
Thanks for commenting Elinor… it’s always lovely to see you here
I have no words to thank you for this, Jean. At this moment I am filled with gratitude, tears, and love.
